The connector for the electrical drives used with various items of furniture has a housing (17) with a cap (10) that encloses a number of cable connection points. Access to the contact region is controlled by a push in interlock element (20) that is of rectangular form with the side walls formed with lugs (23) such that is retained. The housing has projecting fingers (16) and supports latch elements (13). When the interlock element is pushed into the cover the fingers are engaged and the element is fully locked in position. This cannot be removed without the use of a special tool.
