Conveyor pipe direction change points

The direction change points system, for conveyor pipes, has axially mounted plugs (7) at the junction between two hose pipes (4,5). The drive (8,9) at the plugs (7) engages them at a zone away from the axial mounting (6). The flange (7c) is mounted in a sliding insert e.g. of a plastics like tetrafluorethylene, polyamide or polyethylene e.g. low pressure polyethylene. The plugs (7) and/or at least one pipe have a cladding (11), especially of plastics but also of metal or ceramics.
