PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable fine control by controlling a mechanical control valve indirectly by use of hydraulic pressure. SOLUTION: This operating device includes a mechanical control valve 2, a reciprocating actuation cylinder 4 with a piston 4a for pushing and pulling the spool 3 of the control valve 2, and a response means A operated by an operating lever 5 and connected to the actuation cylinder 4 so that oil can be supplied thereto. The piston 4a of the cylinder 4 can be reciprocated by use of hydraulic fluid supplied from the response means A.
