PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a porous sheet material having fine and uniform pores, capable of being thinned and diversified, applicable to various fields and uses. SOLUTION: This porous sheet material is obtained by mixing a polar solvent-soluble polymer material with a powdery inorganic material in the ratio of 30-500 pts.wt. of the powdery inorganic material to 100 pts.wt. of the polar solvent-soluble polymer material and has open pores with <=10μm average pore diameters in the sheet material.
