PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To diagnose the abnormality of an engine without stopping half of the whole cylinders of the engine, and to diagnose the occurrence of abnormality in either of plural fuel feed pumps. SOLUTION: The command for controlling the discharge pressure oil of an oil hydraulic pump 2 is outputted to the hydraulic equipment 8 from a hydraulic equipment controller 5, and the constant load is applied to the engine 1. In this condition, the cylinders are successively stopped, and the presence or absence of the abnormality in either of cylinders is diagnosed on the basis of the change of a rotating speed or the like. Further the plural fuel feed pumps are intermittently driven, the internal pressure in a pressure accumulation chamber is detected by a sensor, and the presence or absence of the abnormality in either of plural fuel feed pumps is diagnosed on the basis of a result of the detection.
