PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-purpose rotating workbench capable of integrally connecting a substrate to a rotating plate and holding them relatively rotatably in a normal time, easily separating them when necessary, smoothing relative rotation of the substrate and the rotating plate and carrying out precise work by eliminating backlash. SOLUTION: The substrate 2 and the rotating plate 3 made of a non-magnetic body are rotatably attracted and held by magnetic force at a central part 4. Magnets 5, 6 with reversed polarities on opposed surfaces are provided on the central part 4 of the substrate 2 and the rotating plate 3 or the magnet 5 is provided to one and a magnetic body 6a is provided to the other.
