PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability and work efficiency when replacing a cutting edge of a throw-away chip and the chip in a screw-on type throw-away cutting tool. SOLUTION: This clamp auxiliary member used when attaching a throw-away chip to the throw-away cutting tool is composed of an approximately cylindrical body 10, an inside diameter screw 11 formed on the internal circumferential face of the body 10 and screwed with a fastening screw 200, a head 13 abutting on a mounting hole 30 penetratingly formed at the throw-away chip 300 by the screwing of the inside diameter screw 11 with the fastening screw 200, formed at one end of the body 10 and having notches 14, and an outside diameter screw 12 formed around the outer circumferential face of the body 10 at the opposite side of the head 13 and screwed into a screw hole formed at a chip mounting seat of the throw-away cutting tool.
