PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical communication module capable of efficiently radiating heat generated in an optical transmitting part and capable of suppressing electric power consumption. SOLUTION: The module includes: an optical transmitting part 12 having a light emitting element inside; a housing 10 with a space 11 provided between it and the optical transmitting part 12 and designed to house the optical transmitting part 12; and a metallic plate 18 and a first and a second connecting material 20, 22 provided in the space 11.
