PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a humidifier capable of dispensing with frequent replacement of a humidification filter as crystals of dissolved components of the water does not deposit on a surface of the humidification filter and a humidifying capacity is not degraded. SOLUTION: This humidifier includes the humidification filter 12, a water tray 11, a recovered-water passage 19 and a water storage tank 2 successively disposed in descending order, water supply passages 9, 10 formed from the water storage tank 2 to an upper part of the humidification filter 12, and a pump 8 disposed in the water supply passages 9, 10, in a housing 1, the water pumped up from the water storage tank 2 through the water supply passages 9, 10 and a pump 8, falls to the humidification filter 12 from an opening of the water supply passage 10 to humidify the air passing through the humidification filter 12, and the water falling from the humidification filter 12 and received on the water tray 11 is recovered in the hot water storage tank through the recovered-water passage 19. The housing 1 includes an opening section formed on a sidewall for inserting the water storage tank 2, and a chamber 25 receiving the water storage tank 2 inserted from the opening section while positioning it.
