PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image-forming apparatus or the like with which the problem of a recording paper being left in the apparatus when a power source is shut while the recording paper is being transferred is solved by discharging the paper when the power source is input again, and which can inform a use of the reason why the abnormal discharge of the paper is conducted. SOLUTION: In the image-forming apparatus for forming images on recording papers by transferring the recording papers, position information of the recording paper is written to a nonvolatile memory 2 when the recording paper is transferred. A system control part 1 judges by reading the position information from the nonvolatile memory 2 when a power source is turned on again, whether or not the recording paper was being transferred when the power source was shutoff, and whether or not a predetermined position of an end part of the recording paper passed an image formation position when the recording paper was being transferred. When it is judged that the recording paper was being transferred and the predetermined position of the end part of the recording paper did not pass the image formation position, information indicating that the recording paper is discharged because of a power source cut-off is sent to a plotter control part 5, and the information is described to the recording paper remaining on a transfer path of a plotter 4 and the paper is discharged. |
