An electronic device, comprising: a controller, configured to generate a programmable value based on a received control input; a reference signal generator, comprising: an input unit configured receive the programmable value, andan output unit configured to generate a reference signal, wherein the reference signal is dependent at least in part on a temperature, and wherein a temperature dependence of the reference signal is based at least in part on the programmable value; and a signal propagation delay circuit, comprising: a power unit configured to receive a current at a power voltage,an input unit configured to receive changing input data and the reference signal, wherein the power voltage, the changing input data, and the reference signal are separate from one another, andan output unit configured to generate a changing output signal based on the power voltage, the changing input data, and the reference signal, wherein the changing output signal is a delayed version of the changing input data, wherein the temperature dependence of the propagation delay between the changing input data and the changing output signal is dependent at least in part on the reference signal, such that a change in the propagation delay in response to a change in the temperature is programmatically controlled through the reference signal.
