PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To coagulate tissues of several positions at the same time by one output by moving an electrode while coagulated tissues are prevented from being carbonized and from being stuck on the electrode. SOLUTION: A high frequency cautery electric source 2 is constituted by providing a DC electric source circuit 11 for feeding DC electric current, a high frequency generating circuit 12 for converting the DC electric current to a high frequency electric current, a wave forming circuit 13 for controlling the wave of the high frequency electric current to the high frequency generating circuit 12, an output transformer 14 for outputting the high frequency electric current to an electrode 3, an electric current sensor 15 for detecting an outputted electric current outputted from the output transformer 14, an A/D converter 16 for A/D-converting the detected value on electric current and a control circuit 17 for controlling the DC electric current circuit 11 and the wave forming circuit 13 based on digitized electric current data.
