PURPOSE:To obtain a serviceable electric lamp with a surface light source element serving as a luminous body by enclosing the surface light source element into a bulb filled with an inactive gas and next by connecting the element with a base mounted closely to the bulb by an electrical method. CONSTITUTION:Drawn electrodes 1a of a luminous body 1 are welded with guide wires 2a of an electric lamp stem 2. The stem 2 is sealed by a covering glass bulb 3. Substitution for N2 is performed through an exhaustion pipe 2b of the stem and then the pipe 2b is sealed. A base 4 of an appropriate JIS standard is stuck on the bulb 3, and it is connected with the guide wires 2a, so that an electric lamp 6 is completed with the surface light source element serving as the luminous body. This luminous body 1 is an EL light-emitting element and it is easily lighted by a simple means in which it is assembled in an AC 100V socket. Since the surface luminous element is sealed in the bulb, a life is enlarged. When this element is provided further with multicolor function and character/figure formation, a new type of illumination device can be obtained. |
