摘要 PURPOSE:To improve assembling workability and to prevent propagation of vibration between assembling members, by a method wherein a resiliently deformable hollow gasket is located between the opposing parts of a pair of assembling members assembled to each other, and fluid is pressed in the gasket. CONSTITUTION:An assembling opposite flange part 1a is annularly formed to the peripheral edge part of the lower end of a cylinder block 1, meanwhile, an assembling opposite recessed part 2a in a semicircle in cross section and protruding externally from the peripheral edge part of the upper end of an oil pan 2 is formed in the peripheral edge part of the upper end of an oil pan 2. When the oil pan 2 is assembled to the cylinder block 1, an endless hollow gasket 4 made of rubber is located in a gap S between the flange part 1a and the recessed part 2a. Grease 5 is pressed in a gasket 4 through a nipple 4b of the gasket 4, positioned in a notch 2b formed in the recessed part 2a to expand the gasket 4, which is brought into press contact with the flange part 1a and the recessed part 2a to complete assembly of the cylinder block 1 and the oil pan 2.
