PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the BS digital broadcast receiver which is free of hysteresis due to phase noise generated by the switching of a reception system. SOLUTION: The receiver is equipped with a demodulating circuit 6A equipped with a carrier regenerating circuit 19A which regenerates a carrier according to demodulated data in a BPSK modulation section 1, and a demodulating circuit 6B equipped with a carrier regenerating circuit 19B which regenerates a carrier according to demodulated data in time-divided modulation sections. When the lock of the carrier regenerated by the carrier regenerating circuit 19A is maintained and the carrier regenerated by the carrier regenerating circuit 19B is locked, a selector 7 selects demodulated data in a BPSK modulation section and a QPSK modulation section outputted from the demodulating circuit 6A and selects demodulated data of 8PSK modulation outputted from the demodulating circuit 6B, thereby outputting them. |
