The heavy load transporting device carries a load (12) permitting at least one bend or curve. The transporting device further includes a bearing device with bearing units (14.1, 14.2, 14.3) on which the load is laid. These are on a carrier unit connected to a wheeled traction vehicle (20). The bearing units can bend or curve relative to each other transversely to the direction of travel (F). The carrier device can be deformed under control so that if necessary, at least one bend or curve can be created in the bearing unit and thus also in the load.
