PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a maintenance cost required to upgrade version of a printer firmware and to revise various setting items in a printer facsimile composite machine. SOLUTION: A facsimile transmission reception section 11 of a controller of the printer facsimile composite machine receives data sent externally via a communication line, a print data processing section 12 analyzes the received data. When the received data are data to upgrade the version of a printer firmware, a print control section 13 rewrites the printer firmware on the basis of the data. Moreover, when a printer error takes place during print processing and a system control section 14 detects the printer error, an error notice control section 15 expands required information image as character information to generate error information print data (data denoting contents of error) and the facsimile transmission reception section 11 faxes the data via a communication line. |
