PURPOSE: An apparatus for controlling current of a flat display device is provided to precisely controlling current applied to a circuit using only digital signal by reducing analog signal maximumlly. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for controlling current of a flat display device includes a current mirror part(1), a current controlling part(3) and a selecting part(4). The current mirror part(1) have first and second terminal to supply current which is equal to current flowing first terminal to display panel. The current controlling part(3) is composed of a plurality of switch element having each current capability and controls current flowing the first terminal of current mirror. The selecting part(4) selects and operates one of the plurality of switch element of current controlling part(3).
