PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of seat locking mechanisms, i.e., seat catches to one and form a luggage box having a large opening capable of simultaneously storing two helmets particularly in a motorcycle with a large seat by improving the seat mounting structure of a motorcycle. SOLUTION: A coiled spring 111 for generating an elastic force in the opening direction for reducing an operating force required for opening a tandem seat 23 is fitted to a seat side hinge 78. The coiled spring 111 is wrapped around a hinge shaft 77, and the center 112 thereof is bought into contact with the lower part of the pipe 94 of the seat side hinge 78. Both ends 113, 113 of the coiled spring are brought into contact with the bottom plate 114 of a vehicle side hinge 76. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
