A handover procedure between transparent RSs(Relay Stations) in a multi-hop relay network is provided to enable a multi-hop MS(Mobile Station) to always use services by excluding a direct path between an MR-BS(Mobile Relay Base Station)/Anchor RS and an MS. An access RS transmits a MOB-RSHO-REQ message, or a handover request message, to an MR-BS/Anchor RS. In response to the MOB-RSHO-REQ message, the MR-BS/Anchor RS transmits a MOB-RSHO-RSP message to the access RS. The MR-BS/Anchor RS selects a target RS, and transmits a MOB-BSHO-ADD message, or a message which indicates service initiation for an MS, to the target RS. As the MR-BS/Anchor RS transmits a MOB-BSHO-DEL message, or a message which indicates service conclusion for the MS, to the access RS, the handover procedure is completed. |
