PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for isolating and purifying nucleic acids. SOLUTION: The nucleic acids such as DNA, RNA, and PNA are isolated and purified from various supply sources using cellulose particles or cellulose filter paper. In the process, the concentrations of sodium chloride and polyethylene glycol are adjusted to levels that result in binding of the nucleic acids to the cellulose particles or the cellulose filter paper. The nucleic acids bound to the cellulose particles or the cellulose filter paper are separated and the nucleic acids are eluted from the particles or the filter paper. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
