PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel charging device to a heating furnace, which can improve the efficiency of charging a steel material to a heating furnace.SOLUTION: A steel charging device to a heating furnace includes a steel moving device 7 which moves a steel material S in both a furnace width direction and a charging direction, and a camera 9 for detecting a position of the steel material S on a table roll 5. A control device 8 calculates a steel material position deviation amount X in the furnace width direction between a steel material target position in the heating furnace 1 and a steel material stop position on the table roll 5, and controls the steel moving device 7 in such a manner that the steel material position deviation amount X in the furnace width direction is corrected and the steel material S on the table roll 5 is charged to a charging target position in the heating furnace 1. At that time, a time required to move the steel material S when the steel material is charged to the steel material target position at normal speed is calculated; a furnace width direction steel material target moving speed to correct the steel material position deviation amount X in the furnace width direction within the time required to move the steel material is calculated; and the steel material S is moved at the normal speed in the charging direction, and also moved at the furnace width direction steel material target moving speed in the furnace width direction, by the steel moving device 7.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
