Electric storage heater charging control circuit - operates in dependence on load on mains transformer and independently of time of day

The control circuit (10) is used for charging an electric storage heater depending on the loading of the main transformer and independently of the time of day. It takes into account the external air temperature and the residual heat remaining in the heater core. - The mains transformer temp is measured continuously using eg an NTC resistor. When it exceeds a given limit the charging of the heater stops; when it falls below this limit charging continues.
