Ventilation system having a separate circuit for individual windows or facade sections, in which a glass channel (38) is formed between an outer pane (40) and an inner pane (42), is limited laterally by hollow frame members, and is incorporated into the system by means of apertures of frame members directed towards the glass channel. The ventilation operates in one direction through the glass channel, and in the opposite direction through at least one vertical, hollow profile post, and encompasses at least one ventilator (54) and one miniaturised cooling unit (52). A suction duct (56), in connection with the room, opens into the circuit, which is closed in summer and transitional operation, warm air from the room passing through this suction duct into the circuit in winter operation and, having flowed through the glass channel, being removed via a connection (70), opening jointly with the suction channel (56), to a central waste-air ducting system (64) (Fig. 1).
