The coating soln. compsn. for a pressure-sensitive recording paper is composed of 30 % color developer capsule i.e. melanine(or urea-) formaldehyde resin film, 3-10 % organic developer i.e. para-phenyl phenol resin or metal-modified phenol-formaldehyde resin, 5-10 % inorganic developer i.e. china clay, a pigment i.e. clay, kaolin, silica, calcium carbonate, titanium oxide or aluminium hydroxide, a buffer material i.e. starch powder, a synthetic resin i.e. latex or polyvinyl alcohol, and a natural binder i.e. starch or casein. The recording paper is produced by coating a basic paper with 3-20 g/m2 thickness of the coating soln.
