Spinal osteosynthesis device comprising a bone anchorage element (2), a vertebral rod (1), a connector (3) interconnecting the rod and the anchorage element and means for clamping the connector to the rod and anchorage element, the anchorage element being capable of being angularly oriented in a polyaxial manner relative to the rod. This device comprises separate means, on one hand, for fixing (16) the position in translation of the connector on the rod, and on the other hand for clamping (4) the connector on the bone anchorage element (2) which comprises a threaded end portion (5) projecting from the connector (3) and cooperating with a clamping nut (4) adapted to bear against the surface (6) of the connector. The latter is in one piece and the means for fixing the connector in translation on the rod (1) comprise an opening (15) provided in the connector and opening onto a bore (13) which receives the rod and extends throughout the connector, and a screw (16) for clamping the rod which is engageable in said opening. This arrangement permits improving certain treatments such as the correction of spondylolisthesis.
