PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller for an auger type ice making machine capable of reducing a load applied to parts without interrupting ice making. SOLUTION: A control circuit detects a torque of an auger motor with the aid of an inverter (S7) to determine a reference value of the torque (S8), and calculates a regulation D of a present torque with respect to the reference value (S9), and compares the regulation D with a threshold Ds (S10). If the regulation D is larger than the threshold Ds, then it is judged that correction is needed, and controls the inverter such that the regulation D becomes smaller to adjust the revolutions of the auger motor (S11).
