PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a leak free faucet for delivering liquid which can be manufactured at low cost and spout liquid smoothly without any leakage from the passage and connecting portion. SOLUTION: In the faucet 1 for delivering liquid, a faucet body 20 having liquid flowing in inlet 22 at the side wall is connected to a faucet mounting portion 26 of a liquid accommodating vessel by means of a connecting part 27. The faucet body 20 comprises an external cylindrical body 21 having an outlet 23 for delivering liquid at the lower end and an internal cylinder 32 having a handle 31 for opening and closing at a top plate 38 to close off. The internal cylinder 32 is fitted into the opening at the upper end of the external cylindrical body 21. It is characterized in that a fastening and stopping rib 50 is provided on a surface of the faucet mounting portion 26 and if the handle 31 is operated to upstanding or horizontal position, the liquid flowing in inlet 22 is opened or closed.
