A remote display system using a WPAN(Wireless Personal Area Network) and an apparatus therefor are provided to perform remote display in a display terminal by separating a part for receiving and demodulating a broadcasting signal and a part for decoding and outputting the demodulated signal as a broadcasting receiving AP(Access Point) terminal and the display terminal and communicating between the broadcasting receiving AP terminal and the display terminal by a WPAN type. A broadcasting receiving AP(Access Point) terminal(400) selects a broadcasting signal received through an antenna, performs the wireless process and demodulation of the received broadcasting signal, and transmits the demodulated signal by a WPAN type. A display terminal(410) requests a desired signal from the broadcasting receiving AP terminal(400) by the WPAN type, receives and decodes the signal provided from the broadcasting receiving AP terminal(400), and outputs the decoded signal. The display terminal(410) includes a PAN wireless communication unit, a decoding unit, an audio processing unit, and a video processing unit. The PAN wireless communication unit performs the wireless process of the received broadcasting signal by the WPAN type. The decoding unit decodes the processed broadcasting signal. The audio processing unit performs the audio process of the signal decoded in the decoding unit, and transmits the processed signal to a speaker to output audio. The video processing unit performs the video process of the signal decoded in the decoding unit, and transmits the processed video signal to a display device to output video.
