PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold exchange apparatus capable of enhancing the latitude inthe layout of a press line even when providing the mold exchange apparatus and promoting the automation of mold exchange. SOLUTION: Disclosed is mold exchange apparatus in a press line provided with: a forging press 1; and apparatus performing the carrying of a billet and a forged part to the forging press 1. The apparatus is provided with a pair of rails 11, 12 arranged along the direction crossed with the carrying direction of a billet and a forged part in the press line; and two exchange carts 13, 14 provided respectively on the pairs of rails 11, 12. The pair of rails 11, 12 are arranged in such a manner that the respective one end parts are mutually crossed in the front position of the forging press 1, and also, the mutual distance is separated as they are separated from the forging press 1.
