A builder's trestle 102 for supporting a platform includes a frame 208, a pair of foot members 218, 219, and a platform support member 200. The frame 208 comprises a pair of parallel tubes 209, 210 coupled together. The foot members 218, 219 each have a sleeve portion 220, 221 positioned around one of the two parallel tubes. The foot members are detachably attached to the frame by attachment means (301, 302, fig 3) external to the bore of the tubes and rotation of the foot members is resisted by direction locking means (401, 304, fig 5). The platform support member 200 has a crossbar supported by a pair of parallel legs 204, 205 such that the legs are a sliding fit within the bore of the parallel tubes and extend past the sleeves to provide height adjustment of the crossbar. |
