PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot water heating apparatus capable of improving heating efficiency of a heating medium, and meanwhile, reducing pressure loss when the heat medium flows.SOLUTION: A hot water heating apparatus A includes: a heat medium heating device 1 having a primary heat exchanger 11 and a secondary heat exchanger 12 capable of recovering sensible heat and latent heat respectively from gas for heating a heat medium, and thereby heating the heat medium; and a heat medium circulation flow passage 5A for heating, which enables the heat medium to circulate in a constant route, so as to return the heat medium stored in a tank 39 after supplying the heat medium to the heat medium heating device 1 and heating terminals by utilizing a pump P. The heat medium circulation flow passage 5A includes: a first flow passage 51 which connects a discharge side of the pump P and the primary heat exchanger 11; and a second flow passage 52 which is branched from the first flow passage 51 and whose end part can be connected to a heating terminal 2A.
