The hinge or lever in a vacuum cleaner has socket seat and connecting pin or stub axis. The hinge is designed to reduce the fitting and production costs. The bearing pin or stud pins (2) are held in the socket seat (3) by a connector which in turn is connected to the socket seat (3). The connector is a screw (4) screwed into the seat (3). The seat has a hole for this screw (4). The self tapping screw (4) is screwed into this hole. Several such screws can be used for ensuring firm connection. The hinge pin is passed through holes in transverse direction. This pin is a simple round steel pin.
