<p>PURPOSE:To control the tension between stands of a continuous rolling mill with high response and stability by finding an optimized control solution which minimizes the evaluation function representing a high controlling effect. CONSTITUTION:When computer 11 enters detecting value from respective detectors 12-14 at a short interval, it decides interstand plate velocity deviation DELTAV, looper angle deviation DELTAtheta, loop angle deviation (dDELTAtheta/dt), and tension deviation DELTAT, minimizes the evaluation function and calculates optimized control variable vectors (looper driving torque standard deviation DELTATM and plate velocity difference standard deviation DELTAV). Then, conmputor 11 outputs a velocity standard signal to controlling device 7 and a torque standard signal to looper controlling device 10. Thus, controlling devices 7 and 8 can perform optimized control for the mill and looper causing optimized tension control to be carried out. As the result, the response of controlling system for outer disturbance is significantly improved and the precision of plate thickness and plate width can be increased.</p> |
