PURPOSE:To simplify the structure and to miniaturize a thermal printer by providing a base metal sheet and a heat-transmitting metallic member and transmtting heat generated from a UV lamp to the base metal sheet through the metallic member to naturally liberate the heat. CONSTITUTION:Four heat-transmitting members 26 are arranged between UV lamps 16 and 17 and a base metal sheet 25, the member 26 is made of iron or aluminum excellent in transmitting heat, and the heat generated from the lamps 16 and 17 is transmitted to the sheet 25 to cool the lamps 16 and 17. The quantity of light emitted from the lamps generally depends on the temp. of the coldest point, and the cooling point is positioned close to both ends of the lamp, the vicinity of both ends as the coldest point is cooled, and the lamp is most efficently used. Accordingly, the four heat-transmitting members 26 are arranged close to both ends of the lamps 16 and 17. |
