PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the purchase of a ticket for train change or a ticket for over boarding to dissolve congestion and to make a ticket examination job efficient by providing an automatic fare adjustment device which can issue adjustment tickets for train change/for over boarding outside a ticket barrier. SOLUTION: The automatic fare adjustment device 10 for adjusting the fare for change trains is arranged outside the ticket barrier. When the ticket 5 is inputted, the boarding section of the ticket 5 is read by the read means 12 of the ticket. A change fare operation means 13 obtains the fare of the section between a station where the automatic fare adjustment device 10 is installed and the nearest station in the boarding section, and the change fare is displayed on the display device 20 of the adjustment fare. When a user pays the change fare from a change fare input device 14, an adjustment ticket issuing means 15 issues the adjustment ticket 22. When the inputted ticket 5 is the ticket which requires return, a commuter ticket, for example, the ticket 5 is returned from the input/output device 11 of the ticket. |
