PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the member, method and the device capable of adjusting the height position of a magnetic head for a specific quantity, when the same external energy is supplied, by always obtaining constant displacement rather than using the feeding position. SOLUTION: The member 22 is for adjusting the height position of the rotary body 12 of a magnetic head 20, and is constituted such that the magnetic head 20 is fixedly loaded on the rotary body 12 and that the magnetic head 20 is moved relative to a belt-like recording medium by rotating the rotary body 12; the height position of the magnetic head 20 is adjusted through deformation by imparting an external energy to it; and for this purpose, the part for imparting the external energy is formed with a groove 400 having an inclined part 420, the groove being deeper as it is closer to the magnetic head 20.
