A method of controlling data record in an optical disc device is provided to manage the new data from a last recording position normally even when a recording error occurs due to the power off by discriminating the recording position where an RF signal is detected as an actual last recording position and recording the new data from the last recording position. A last recording position directed by management information of an optical disk is detected, and an RF scan is operated(S10~S11). The recording position where an RF signal is detected is discriminated as an actual last recording position by the RF scan operation(S12~S13). The new data is recorded from the discriminated last recording position(S14). The optical is a one time writable DVD, and the management information is information on a next writable address.
