A refrigerator having a thawing chamber is provided to perform thawing without using additional heating system while using refrigerating function based on the conditions set by the user, and to prevent decomposition of foods by freezing thawed foods again. A refrigerator comprises a thawing chamber(140), a thawing function control unit, and a fan(160). The thawing chamber is provided in a refrigerator body unit, having a refrigerating air inlet path(150a,150b) as an air inflow path from a refrigerator compartment(110), and a freezing air inlet path(155a,155b) as an air inflow path from a freezer compartment(120) for the thawing of foods. The thawing function control unit receives conditions for performing the thawing function from the user and controls the thawing function. The fan allows the inflow of the air from the refrigerator or freezer compartment selectively by the control of the thawing function control unit.
