A micromixer (1A) has a first tubular member (2) for guiding first fluid (7) so that it becomes a flow in a first direction x; a second tubular member (3) having a discharge section (14) for guiding second fluid (8) into a downstream portion (2b) of the first tubular member (2) so that the second fluid (8) becomes a flow in the direction opposite to the first direction x, the discharge section (14) having a flow path space (S2) narrower than a flow path space (S1) of the downstream portion (2b); a first annular space (4) defined by the downstream portion (2b) of the first tubular member (2) and the discharge section (14) of the second tubular member (3), guiding a mixture fluid (9) so that the fluid (9) becomes a flow in the same direction as the first direction x, and increasing the pressure of the mixture fluid (9), the mixture fluid (9) being obtained by causing the first fluid (7) flowing in the first tubular member (2) and the second fluid (8) flowing in the second tubular member (3) to collide with each other as counterflows; a mixture promotion space (5) communicated with the first annular space (4), reducing the pressure of the mixture fluid (9) discharged from the first annular space (4) to produce vortexes, and promoting mixing of the mixture fluid (9) by using the vortexes ; and a third tubular member (6) for guiding the mixture fluid (9) inside the mixture promotion space (5) to predetermined recovery means.
