The present invention relates to a composition for moisturizing the skin and, more specifically, to a composition which has excellent effects of recovering damaged skin barrier function and increasing skin moisturizing power by containing (2S)-1-O-linolenoyl-2-O-linolenoyl-3-O-β-D-galactopyranosyl-sn-glycerol as an active ingredient.
