PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side airbag device capable of further improving the occupant restraint performance.SOLUTION: An airbag device includes: an airbag 106 which utilizes a gas from an inflator 114 and inflates and expands at the lateral side of a vehicle seat 104; a belt 116 where one end is connected with an upper part of a seat back 104a and the other end is connected with a seat cushion 104b, the belt 116 which is installed along side surfaces of the seat back 104a and the seat cushion 104b passing through the outer side of the airbag 106 and receives a tensile force applied when the airbag 106 is inflated and expanded; a link mechanism 130 which moves a position that the other end of the belt 116 is connected with the seat cushion 104b in a vehicle longitudinal direction in conjunction with the reclining operation of the seat cushion 104b. In the link mechanism 130, the position of the other end of the belt 116 moves to the vehicle rear side as a reclining angle of the seat back 104a becomes larger. |
