The purpose of the present invention is to inhibit gas generation during a charge/discharge cycle or storage, etc., when a group 4-6 oxide such as lithium titanate is used as a negative electrode active material. A non-aqueous electrolyte secondary cell that is an example of an embodiment is provided with a positive electrode, in which a positive electrode mixture layer is formed on a positive electrode collector, a negative electrode, in which a negative electrode mixture layer is formed on a negative electrode collector, and a fluorine-containing non-aqueous electrolyte. The positive electrode mixture layer includes a lithium transition metal oxide and a phosphate compound. The negative electrode mixture layer includes a group 4-6 oxide containing at least one element selected from elements in group 4, 5, and 6 of the periodic table and having a BET specific surface area of 2.0 m2/g or greater. |
