PURPOSE:To improve the stability at the time of starting and the high speediness and stability at the time of accessing by providing clock pits, servo pits and >=1 pieces of auxiliary clock pits between the clock pits adjacent in a radial direction. CONSTITUTION:The clock pits 101 are formed on tracks 103 and the servo pits 102 meandering in the track direction are respectively formed. Further, the auxiliary clock pits 104 are formed between the clock pits 101 adjacent in the radial direction. The fluctuation in the peak value of the pit signals when the clock pits 101 are reproduced in the state in which the tracking operation is not completed yet is lessened or minimized in this case. As a result, the jitters of the clocks formed from the clock pit signals are decreased. The stability at the time of starting and the high speediness and stability at the time of accessing are improved in this way. |
