PURPOSE:To provide a cover member for an air bag device, the whole of which can be made of resin so as to reduce the weight thereof. CONSTITUTION:A cover member 22 is provided so as to be openable at an opening part 0 of an instrument panel P. The cover member 22 comprises a cover main body 25 for covering an air bag 1 folded inside a case 6, a bracket part extended from the cover main body 25 via a flexible hinge part 27 and fitted to the case 6, and a breakaway part 28 extended from the cover main body 25 and separetably fitted to the case 6. The cover member 22 is molded by sandwiching of a hard synthetic resin meterial 23 with a thermoplastic elastomer 24. |
