<p>PURPOSE: To provide a high-speed arithmetic operation method of discrete cosine transformation capable of substantially reducing a multiplication number required by calculation and realizing a high-speed arithmetic operation by developing a cosine which is a DCT calculation kernel to the multiplication (cosA.cosB.cosC) of the three cosines. CONSTITUTION: This method consists of an input mapping process for shifting linear input data (X (n)) to three-dimensional input data (X (n1 , n2 , n3 )), a three- dimension leading process tar utilizing the (m) pieces of mapping functions and leading a linear DCT calculation formula to a three-dimensional DCT calculation formula so as to convert the three-dimensional input data (X (n1 , n2 , n3 )) to three-dimensional output data (X (k1 , k2 , k3 )) and an output mapping process for shifting the three-dimensional output data (X (k1 , k2 , k3 )) to linear output data (X (k)).</p> |
