PURPOSE:To obtain sufficient travelling energy at the time of the acceleration of a vehicle, and to acquire sufficient regenerative quantity at the time of the deceleration of the vehicle. CONSTITUTION:An auxiliary battery B2 is charged through a DC-DC converter 3 by a main battery B1 in an auxiliary-equipment battery charging system for an electric vehicle. When a control circuit 9 decides the time of the acceleration of a vehicle on the basis of a signal from an accelerator-pedal working- quantity sensor 4, the control circuit 9 forcibly maintains a switching transistor TR1 under an off state, and stops the operation of the DC-DC converter. When the control circuit 9 decides the time of the deceleration of the vehicle on the basis of a signal from a brake lamp switch 5, the control circuit 9 sets the duty ratio, (an on time/(the on time + an off time)), of the switching transistor TR1 at a large value, and increases the output voltage of the DC-DC converter 3. |
