PURPOSE:To restrain drastically the generation of combustion noise, soot and NOx. CONSTITUTION:A fuel storage chamber 14 is formed in a fuel injection valve main body in the vicinity of a needle 12, and the pressurizing fuel stored in the fuel storage chamber 14 is injected in a flat slab state toward the inside of a combustion chamber 5 from the tip portion of a fuel injection valve 6. The injection start time of fuel is set at an approximately fixed crank angle before a compression upper dead center, and at the same time an injection period is set at an approximately fixed crank angle. The more a demand injection quantity increases, the more the fuel pressure in the fuel storage chamber 14 is made to increase. |
