A multilayer ceramic capacitor comprises a sintered ceramic compact including primary crystalline phases and secondary phases. The primary crystalline phases mainly contain CaTiO3 and CaZrO3. The secondary phases mainly contain Si and Ca. The amount of Ca in the secondary phase is about 30 mol % or less.
