The device has a microphone (15) and a microprocessor (16) for capturing and processing sound (S). A loudspeaker (17) is connected with the microprocessor for reestablishment of the processed sound to the ear of the user. A semi automatic parameterization unit (18) generates frequencies of progressive intensity in pre selected audio bands. A storage unit (21) stores correction configuration to be applied to the sound. An independent claim is also included for a method for acoustical correction for a user having a hearing aid.
